NetGear WG311 v2 and NVIDIA GeoForce FX5200

I noticed that when my video is set to 1280 x 1024, my network connection can not connect (a belkin pre-n router). If I change my video settings to 800x600, it gets an IP address right away.
I downloaded NVIDIAs Vista Beta drivers and thought that would fix the problem and it didn't. Has anyone else been having trouble using their NetGear VG311 NIC card w/ higher res. video?

Is your NIC card sharing an IRQ with your graphics card? Even if not you might try putting the NIC card in another slot since it sounds like the cards are competing with each other for resources.

I would bet that you have got something more than just a video issue going on there. I have an Nvidia GeForce FX5200 PCI video card with 128 megabytes of RAM on the card and it works perfectly on my Gateway computer and I have no problem with Internet access. I also think the drivers for the Nvidia card from Microsoft run better than the ones from Nvidia.
